Hockeytown is Rockytown?

Join Red Wings defenseman and three-time Stanley Cup winner, NHL All-Star, Olympic superstar and Michigan native Brian Rafalski for brunch on Saturday, June 12, as he endorses Rocky Raczkowski.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the American Polish Cultural Center, 2975 East Maple Road in Troy. RSVP to Susan Emfinger at susane@rockyworksforus.com by 5 p.m. Thursday, June 10.

Individual admission is $50 and includes brunch with Rafalski. A Stanley Cup admission is $500 and includes VIP seating and a signed jersey. An Olympic Gold admission is $1,000 and includes a 9:30 a.m. private reception, VIP brunch seating, photo with Rafalski and a signed jersey.


Raczkowski is seeking the Republican nomination in the Aug. 3 primary for the congressional seat held by U.S. Rep. Gary Peters, D-Bloomfield Township. His Republican opponents are Paul Welday, Anna Janek and Richard D. Kuhn. The winner of the Aug. 3 primary runs against Peters in November.

The seat held by Peters represents Pontiac, Lake Angelus, Auburn Hills, Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake, Orchard Lake, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Rochester, Troy, Clawson, Royal Oak, Berkley, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Franklin, Farmington, Farmington Hills, and the townships of Southfield, Waterford, West Bloomfield, Oakland and part of Orion.
