Pass the tea please

  The Independent Tea Party Patriots of Clarkston hosts an open forum for statewide candidates from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. July 20 at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybe Road in Clarkston.

  Republican candidate for governor Mike Bouchard is expected to attend and a debate is scheduled between five of the Republican candidates seeking the 12th district state Senate seat: John Garfield, Jim Marleau, Copper Rizzo, Kim Russell and Gene Taliercio.
  Also expected to attend are state Rep. Eileen Kowall, R-White Lake, and her Republican challenger Rick Gutowski, as well as Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson, a candidate for Michigan secretary of state.
