U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will be in Detroit Thursday.
He will participate in a moderated discussion hosted by the Detroit Economic Club on the path forward for the nation’s fiscal policy, strengthening U.S. competitiveness and job creation, and the state of the economy.
While in Detroit, Secretary Geithner will also meet with local business leaders and visit Chrysler Group’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant, where he will tour the facility and discuss recent developments in the auto industry with management, union leadership and workers.
The 4 p.m. discussion will be held at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, 1114 Washington Boulevard in Detroit, a White House email says.
