Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, Michigan's Democratic candidate for governor, is getting some heavyweight help to bolster his campaign against Republican Rick Snyder in the final days leading up to the Nov. 2 election.
Bernero's campaign said Thursday morning that former President Bill Clinton will be in Detroit Sunday, Oct. 24, to campaign for Bernero, but that the time and location have yet to be nailed down.
According to the latest poll of 400 likely voters taken Monday, Oct. 18, by Rossman Associates and Team TelCom, Snyder is ahead of Bernero 50 percent to 36 percent with 14.5 percent undecided.
