Lt. Gov. candidate Lawrence to speak to West Oakland Dems

  Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence, the Democrats' nominee for lieutenant governor, is the featured speaker at the Democrats of West Oakland County at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21.

  The West Oakland Democrats meet at the Comfort Suites Inn at Wixom Road, on the south side of I-96 in Wixom next to Meijer. Take exit 159 off I-96. Snacks and coffee will be provided at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
  Lawrence is the running mate of Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero.
  Bernero's Republican opponent for governor in the Nov. 2 election is Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder.
