Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson and state Sen. Cameron Brown are in a two-way runoff for the Republican nomination for secretary of state.
In polling in the five-way race, Johnson had 639 votes from delegates at the state convention in East Lansing shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday to 464 for Brown.
Delegates narrowed the field to the top two to produce the runoff.
Unsuccessfully seeking nomination were Anne Norlander, Michelle McManus and Paul Scott.
