Republican gubernatorial candidate and U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra will attend a dinner reception with the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce and special guest U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf tonight, July 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shenandoah Country Club at 5600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.
Wolf represents Virginia’s 10th Congressional District. He has served in Congress since 1981.
Hoestra is in a five-way nominating race in the Aug. 3 primary against Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder and state Sen. Tom George. Democrats seeking their party's nomination are Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and Michigan Speaker of the House Andy Dillon.
