Races to watch on Aug. 7
Between now and the Aug. 7 primary, a regular feature will be "races to watch."
There are a large number of contested primaries in both the major political parties. Voters across Oakland County will also see a number of ballot questions seeking tax renewals or increases. And there's nonpartisan judicial seats with primaries as well.
The goal of primaries, excluding ballot questions, is to narrow the field of candidates for the November election.
